General Li Minghao’s Villa

It is located within the compound of Anle Township Government. The villa was built in 1938 when General Li Minghao moved to Faxiangyan in Wugang. Facing southwest with its back to the northeast, it covers a land area of 3,600 square meters and has a construction area of 1,172.58 square meters.

It was originally a civil-structured quadrangle courtyard with three front-to-back yards and two side wing buildings. Only the main quadrangle courtyard survives today. It is one of the rare preserved former sites of the Second Branch of Whampoa Military Academy.

In 2010, together with the Zhongshan Hall, it was submitted for the designation of a Major Historical and Cultural Site Protected at the National Level. At present, it has passed the review by an expert panel of the National Cultural Heritage Administration and the application has been submitted to the State Council for final approval.
