Red History & Culture Series of Jinzhai and Shouxian

Day 1: Meet the group in Lu’an at noon and check into the hotel. Overnight: Lu’an

Day 2: After breakfast, drive to Jinzhai (around 1.5 hours). Visit the Red Army Square including Jinzhai Revolutionary Museum, Red Army Generals’ Cemetery and Jinzhai Revolutionary Memorial Tower (about 1 hour). Learn about Jinzhai’s revolutionary history and pay tribute to revolutionary generals and martyrs from Jinzhai. Then tour Meishan Reservoir Dam, the tallest dam built in early New China (around 40 minutes). After lunch, drive to Tiantangzhai (about 2 hours). You may choose to join Tianshuijian Drifting, the top drifting route in Tiantangzhai at your own expense (ticket: 138 RMB per person, around 2 hours), full of thrills and laughter. Overnight: Tiantangzhai

Day 3: After breakfast, visit Jiuying Waterfall, Four-Tier Waterfall and Xieyu Waterfall (about 40 minutes). Hike or take the cable car up the mountain to explore Bonsai Garden, Heavenly Street, Whale Emerging from the Sea, Qu Yuan Asking Heaven and Observation Platform (about 3 hours). Descend the mountain on foot or by cable car. After lunch, drive back to Lu’an (around 3 hours) and send off the group to finish the wonderful trip.

Day 1: Meet the group in Lu’an in the afternoon and check into the hotel. Overnight: Lu’an

Day 2: After breakfast, drive to Dushan Town (about 1 hour). Visit the Dushan Revolutionary Site Complex: Soviet Club, Dushan Uprising Headquarters, Economic Cooperative, Lenin Primary School, Soviet Government, Red Guards Headquarters, Revolutionary Court, CPC and Communist Youth League County Committee, Political Security Bureau and Liu-Huo Memorial Tower (around 1.5 hours). Then head for Red Stone Valley, a national geopark zone (20 minutes’ drive). Visit the ecological tea plantation, native origin of Liu’an Guapian, one of China’s Top Ten Famous Teas. Next tour Lover’s Valley, featuring Monkey Head Mountain, Back-Supporting Rock, Red Stone Spirit, Hippo Drawing Water, Red Gate Pass and Cloud Gate Pass. You can also opt to visit Thunder God Cave, Qiyun Grottoes and Bat Cave. After lunch, visit Xianghongdian Reservoir Dam, the first self-designed large reservoir dam after the founding of the People’s Republic of China. Take a cruise to enjoy lake scenery and listen to the long history of Machu Ancient Town known as "Little Nanjing". Afterwards, send off the group and conclude the trip.

Day 1: Pick up the group at Lu’an Railway Station in the afternoon, visit the Dabie Mountain Revolutionary Memorial Hall, then check into the hotel. Overnight: Lu’an

Day 2: After breakfast, drive to Shouxian (around 1.5 hours). Walk on the Song Dynasty ancient city wall (30 minutes) to experience the birthplace of time-honored Chu Culture. Visit Bao’en Temple and the Chu Culture Museum, the second largest museum in Anhui Province (about 1.5 hours). Then drive to Hefei (around 2 hours). Overnight: Hefei

Day 3: After breakfast, tour Baogong Park (about 2 hours), including Lord Bao Shrine, Lord Bao’s Tomb and Qingfeng Pavilion. After lunch, visit Li Hongzhang Former Residence (about 1.5 hours) to learn about this most controversial figure in the late Qing Dynasty. Enjoy free time at Huaihe Road Pedestrian Street before driving back to wrap up the trip.

Day 2: After breakfast, drive to Shouxian (around 1.5 hours). Stroll along the Song Dynasty ancient city wall (30 minutes) to experience the birthplace of profound Chu Culture, and visit Bao’en Temple. Then drive to Shucheng (around 2.5 hours). Overnight: Shucheng

Day 3: After breakfast, explore Wanfo Lake Scenic Area (about 3 hours). Take a boat cruise to visit Wanfo Island, Golden Coast, Swallow Island, Huicui Forest and other islets. Drive to Golden Peacock Hot Spring Resort in Lujiang (30 minutes). After lunch, relax in various dynamic hot spring pools at the spa center, then drive back to finish the pleasant journey.
