Transportation Guide Self-driving: Travellers departing from Nanning, Qinzhou or Beihai can take the expressway directly to Fangchenggang City. Cross the sea-crossing bridge and follow the coastal highway to Dongxing City. Then drive along the border highway for about one hour to reach Dongzhong Hot Spring.

Scenic Spot Description Dongzhong Hot Spring is situated in the important border town of Dongzhong. Hot water gushes out day and night. The water temperature ranges from 38℃ to 48℃, while the temperature at the spring outlet reaches 68℃. Rich in sulphur and minerals, the spring water belongs to sodium bicarbonate type. Its content of hydrogen sulphate, fluorine and metasilicic acid far exceeds the national standard for medical mineral hot springs (GB11615-89 of the People's Republic of China). It also contains a variety of trace elements beneficial to human health.

The hot spring has remarkable curative effects on colds, rheumatism, arthritis, neural bone pain, muscle strain, digestive disorders, neurasthenia and other illnesses, and works especially well for skin diseases. It is high-quality medicinal hot mineral water ideal for skin care, anti-ageing, relieving itching and activating tendons and collaterals.

Soaking in the hot spring makes visitors feel light and relaxed, leaving the skin soft and smooth and lifting the spirits. As the local saying goes, "One soak in this divine spring cures all ailments." As early as the Daoguang reign of the Qing Dynasty, local residents and frontier garrison soldiers dug pits to collect spring water for bathing, forming a history of hundreds of years.

After preliminary development, the hot spring is ready to receive tourists. It currently features hot spring pools covering about 380 square metres, six luxury private pool rooms, 40 hotel beds, a 1,300-square-metre parking lot, and an air-conditioned dining hall that can serve 50 to 60 guests at the same time.
