Special tourist shuttle buses depart from Laiwu Long-distance Bus Station with two daily trips: 09:20 in the morning and 15:20 in the afternoon. The ride takes 60 minutes at a fare of 7 RMB.

Covering a planned area of 19 square kilometers, the Qilu Grand Canyon Tourist Area is nestled among rolling foothills of Mount Tai in central Shandong Province. To its north lies Jinan, the provincial capital known as the City of Springs; to the east is Linzi, the ancient capital of the State of Qi; to the west stands Mount Tai, the foremost of China’s Five Great Mountains; and to the south overlooks Qufu, hometown of Confucius. Multiple provincial and national highways run through the area, offering convenient transportation.

The tourist zone consists of four sub-scenic areas: Fanggan Ecological Tourist Area, Wangshimen "Paradise Village" Tourist Area, Black Dragon Pond Tourist Area and Dulu Forest Grassland Tourist Area. It is listed as one of the key scenic spots monitored by Shandong Provincial Holiday Tourism Office.

The landform here features intensely eroded steep mountains and crisscross gullies on a grand scale, with multiple canyons stretching over 10 kilometers long. It forms the largest cluster of canyons in Shandong Province and even the entire East China region. Particularly spectacular is the "Two Dragons Playing with a Pearl" landscape formed by the Nine Dragons Canyon and Nine Heavens Canyon. Jagged rock formations line the winding streams that twist and turn through countless bends, leaving visitors marveling at the stunning natural scenery.

Surrounded by layered lush green mountains blanketed with wild blossoms and singing birds, the tourist area boasts a forest coverage rate exceeding 90%, with over ten thousand mu of forest grassland atop the mountain peaks. Cool and refreshing in summer, the air is rich in negative oxygen ions, making it an ideal natural oxygen bar. Wangshimen Folk Village, nicknamed "Paradise Village", is the highest-altitude village in Shandong Province, retaining primitive rural landscapes and simple, honest folk customs.

Integrating the rugged grandeur of northern mountains and rivers with the gentle grace of southern classical gardens, the entire tourist area is a perfect destination for sightseeing, canyon exploration, summer retreats and folk culture experiences.

The Qilu Grand Canyon Tourist Area is fully equipped with supporting facilities, including 18 accommodation venues ranging from mid-to-high-end resorts for leisure vacations to farm inns and holiday cabins for folk tourism. More than 50 restaurants within the zone can serve 1,500 diners simultaneously. Visitors can taste pollution-free, nutrient-rich mountain delicacies such as free-range chicken, wild hare, wild vegetables and wild fruits. They may also experience rural farm work and stay in farmhouses to fully immerse themselves in the authentic folk customs of central Shandong.
