Scenic Spot Description
Known as the cradle of Chinese acrobatics, Wuqiao is the birthplace of China’s acrobatic art. With a long history and exquisite skills, it is internationally renowned as the Hometown of Acrobatics. In 1954, it was officially named so by Premier Zhou Enlai.
Wuqiao Acrobatics World comprises eight major attractions, including Jianghu Culture City, Acrobatic Wonders Palace, Magic Illusion Hall and Mini Mount Tai. Integrating entertainment, participation, cultural exchange, performances and catering, it showcases the essence of folk customs and has become a well-known scenic spot in North China for its unique acrobatic cultural tourism.
The core area, Jianghu Culture City, covers 19,200 square meters. It recreates the performance characteristics and folk cultural landscapes of four historic entertainment hubs: Beijing’s Tianqiao, Tianjin’s Sanbuguan, Shanghai’s Great World and Nanjing’s Confucius Temple. Visitors can fully appreciate the extraordinary skills of Wuqiao acrobats. Strolling through the city, you can enjoy diverse performances such as acrobatics, circus, magic, qigong, folk storytelling, one-man shows, shadow puppetry and mouse training.
