Handan City → North Zhonghua Street → West Renmin Road → West Ring Road → Roundabout → Tianmiao Bridge → Wuhua Mountain
Wuhua Mountain lies on the route from Jingniang Lake to Changshou Village. Starting from Handan, drive northwest along National Highway 309 through Wu’an City to Shameng. Then head northwest along the Pingshe Highway to Koushang, and continue northwest to Houbaipo Village to reach the scenic area.
Brief Introduction to Wuhua Mountain
Also known as Little Huashan Mountain, Wuhua Mountain is situated south of Houbaipo Village, Huoshui Township, 52 kilometres northwest of Wu’an City. It borders the well-known Motian Ridge to the north and the Arhat Cave of Qibugou Valley to the south.
Drive about 5 kilometres west into the mountains from Jingniang Lake, and you will arrive at Wuhua Mountain.
It boasts clear waters and green mountains covered with luxuriant trees, blooming mountain flowers and roaring pine forests.
Upon entering the gate, visitors first see a waterfall over 100 metres high plunging down the sheer cliff into the Sun-Moon Pond.
Cross the Immortal Travellers Bridge, walk around the pond, and climb the rugged stone mountain steps to the hilltop park. You will be greeted by a broad panoramic view of stunning scenery.
Stretching more than 10 kilometres, the boundless pine forest on the mountain top creates rhythmic soughing sounds.
Scattered among the woods are the Mountain God Temple, Jade Emperor Peak, Heavenly King Hall, pavilions and an alpine hotel, making visitors reluctant to leave.
