Shuanggou Wine Culture Tourism Zone (National 4A-level Tourist Attraction)

Nestled in Shuanggou Town, an ancient brewing town at the junction of three counties across Jiangsu and Anhui Provinces, the zone is famed for the line "A rooster’s crow is heard in two provinces; once wine matures, its fragrance permeates three counties". It boasts a long brewing history dating back to the Qin and Han dynasties, which flourished during the Ming and Qing dynasties. It enjoys the reputation of "Its fame spreads three thousand li north of Hebei; its flavor ranks first along the Huaihe and Yangtze Rivers".

Certified as a national 4A-level tourist attraction in 2017, the scenic zone covers around 2.8 square kilometers. Bordering the 750,000-mu Hongze Lake Wetland to the east and the Huaihe River to the south, it maintains a relative humidity of 80%. Known as "a famous distillery built on wetlands", it is grouped with the brandy-producing region of France and the Scotch whisky-producing region of Scotland as the "World’s Three Major Wetland Famous Wine Production Zones".

The zone features 11 tourist spots including a wine-tasting garden, an underground wine sea, the Treasure Cave, the Drunken Ape Square, the Emperor Ming Sacrificial Altar, the Old Shuanggou Street, the Zhu Family Distillery Workshop, the Huaihe Inn, the 1955 Memorial Garden, the 24-span brewing workshop and a packaging & logistics center. It is a distinctive industrial tourism destination integrating inheritance of traditional brewing culture, modern Baijiu production, ecological leisure and immersive wine-tasting experiences.
