The North Arch Gate was the northern city gate of Runing Prefecture in the Ming Dynasty. It is located in the northern suburb of Runan County. Its name means countless stars turning towards the North Star.
Constructed in the 18th year of the Hongwu reign of the Ming Dynasty, the gate faces Tianzhong Mountain to the north and lines up with Wuying Pagoda to the south. It stands as another important symbol of Tianzhong culture.
