Changbai Mountain Heping Ski Resort (National AAA Scenic Area)

Located at the foot of Changbai Mountain, one of China’s Top Ten Famous Mountains, Changbai Mountain Heping Ski Resort lies 6 kilometers from the Changbai Mountain Gate and serves as the only passage leading to the northern slope of Changbai Mountain.

The ski resort sits at an altitude of 1,034 meters with a vertical drop of 140 meters, covering a total area of 17.95 hectares. It is equipped with star-rated hotels, restaurants serving distinctive local cuisines, cozy lounge halls, a 10,000-square-meter parking lot, and the 20,000-square-meter Heping Lake. Delicate forest trails and mountain villas are scattered across the grounds. The resort boasts four distinct seasons and pleasant scenery.

Here you can marvel at magical natural stone seas, century-old Korean pine trees welcoming visitors, rare Northeast yew forests, and exquisite cascading waterfalls. A viewing platform with an exclusive geographic position allows you to climb high for a panoramic overlook of Changbai Mountain and gaze down at the vast, magnificent forest sea, making it the optimal spot to admire the full beauty of Changbai Mountain.

In spring, summer and autumn, visitors can experience rope sliding, fishing and forest bathing, and feast on signature dishes such as whole roasted beef, whole roasted lamb and wild boar roast. Bonfire parties and traditional Korean folk song and dance performances are also available. Winter activities include skiing, ice skating, snowmobile sleigh rides, ice carts, ice sledding tops, snow sculpting, mountain sightseeing, horse-drawn sleds, as well as fireworks and bonfire galas.
