Shitouchengzi Ancient City Site is categorized as a settlement and abandoned city ruin. It is located in Shitouchengzi Village, Sanchahe Town, 3 kilometres from the urban area and 2 kilometres away from National Highway 102.

This ancient city dates back to the Liao and Jin dynasties and was destroyed in wars. With a history of more than 900 years, it is an important cultural relic of the Liao-Jin period and has been listed as a provincial-level key cultural relic protection unit.

The city takes the shape of a rectangle, covering roughly 25 hectares. The surrounding city walls remain well-preserved to this day. The landmark of the site is the stone stele erected by Jilin Province marking it as a protected key cultural relic.

Yuantong Guan Taoist Temple stands near the ancient city site as a major venue for Taoist activities. Its buildings include the Guan Yu Hall, Dharma Protector Hall, residential chambers and the Hall of Patriarchs of Three Religions. It ranks among the most important religious buildings in the county.
