The Royal Mausoleum of the Yarkand Khanate is situated at the intersection of Altun Road and Laocheng Road in downtown Shache County. It is currently a national 2A-level scenic area and is applying for the national 3A-level status.

The scenic area consists of the Memorial Mausoleum of Amannisa Khan, Altun Mazar (the Royal Mausoleum of the Yarkand Khanate), Altun Historical and Cultural Square, Altun Mosque, and the under-construction "Royal Palace" of the Yarkand Khanate, covering a total area of 17,790 square meters.

This scenic spot embodies the finest achievements of Islamic architecture from ancient and modern times. The Royal Mausoleum of the Yarkand Khanate was designated as a key cultural relic protection unit at the autonomous regional level in 1984. In June 2006, it was upgraded to a Major Historical and Cultural Site Protected at the National Level in the sixth batch released by the State Council.
