Yu Garden, with a history of over 400 years, is the only Ming-dynasty garden preserved in the old urban area. In it are an assortment of halls and pavilions, impressive rock works and glittering water expanses. This red-hot attraction of Shanghai is home to a whole myriad of Ming and Qing buildings,which, alongside Jiuquqiao and Huxinting, exudes quaint charms of an time-honored neighborhood. Lotus flowers give off sweet scents. At night, people come here for trinkets and fine foods.
