Shanghai Baoshan International Folk Arts Exposition (the Exposition for short) with an area of about 65 mu is located to the southeast of Gucun Park, the biggest suburban ecological park in Shanghai. The Exposition, whose architectural concept is originated from the folk cultural image ""Chinese knot"", has a total floor area of 14,600 square meters.Opened on October 16, 2010, the Exposition is a public-welfare cultural establishment integrated with functions such as collection, display, exchanges, research and social services, with its aim of demonstrating and exchanging folk arts both at home and abroad as well as inheriting and protecting intangible cultural heritages. It was rated as “National AAAA Tourist Attraction”, “Shanghai Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection and Inheritance Base” and “Shanghai Scientific Education Base”. |
