The Qilihai national wetland park, covering an area of about ten thousands of mus, is located in Ninghe County of the Tianjin northeast. Known as an AAAA-class tourist attraction, it is approved as an ancient coastline and wetland national-level natural conservation area by the State Council. Meanwhile it becomes the only national-level natural conservation area with both ancient coastlines and wetland and is the largest back garden in Tianjin. The Qilihai national wetland park is awarded as one of eight typical tourist attractions in Tianjin in 2009. There are totally 235 kinds of birds belonging to 48 families and 17 orders in Tianjin, while 182 kinds of birds belonging to 39 families and 16 orders can be found in Qilihai. Qilihai is famous for its three treasures: silver fish, purple crabs and alfa. The alfa releases a great number of negative oxygen ions each day. According to calculation of experts, there are 3000 negative oxygen ions each cubic centimeter in Qilihai. The content of negative oxygen ions is dozens of times that in centers of large cities. Therefore, Qilihai is awarded as the honor title ‘the earth renal’. Qilihai is most featured for its wild natural scenery including wild flowers, weeds, wild birds, wild scenes and wild interest. All the natural scenery has its own charm and makes tourists feel refresh. The scenic spot consists of three parts, namely eight kilometers of wetland galleries, four kilometers of wetland wooden trestles and 6000 mus of original wetland. The first part is divided into an east region and a west region. The east region works as a slow life region, and is provided with a fun fishing area, an animal specimen science popularization exhibition hall, a marina, mountain gates, a steel cable bridge, a wedding photo base, a Dutch windmill amusement park and an aquatic barbecue pavilion.
