
East to the Bohai Sea and north to the Yanshan Mountain, Tianjin is endowed with rich natural tourism resources and humanistic tourism resources. Some say China is an empire of canal. The Grand Canal has long been the passage for Sino-foreign cultural exchanges, and the extension of Maritime Silk Road. Chinese Grand Canal, which is on the list of world cultural heritage, is 1011 kilometers in length and cross over 8 provinces and municipalities. The Tianjin section is 71 kilometers in length subdivided in North Grand Canal and South Grand Canal. The North Grand Canal joins the South Grand Canal at the Sancha River estuary, where is the earliest settlement in Tianjin, as well as the source of Tianjin city. Thus, Tianjin is called the city carried by the Grand Canal.

Tianjin city originated from the establishment of Sui-Dynasty Grand Canal. The river confluence reaches of North and South Grand Canal, and Jingang Bridge of Sancha River estuary, known to the history as “Sanhui River Estuary”, is the birthplace of Tianjin city. In 2008, Sancha River estuary witnessed the successive establishment of The Tianjin Eye, Industrial Museum, bund leisure zone, E-mart and Jinling international water-shore community. These new commercial activities of culture, entertainment, tourism, sightseeing, commerce, and housing has greatly rejuvenated the long silent Sancha River estuary.
The Tianjin section of Grand Canal has a lot of unmovable object heritages,museum collections, and historical relics. Along the canal, there are various tourism attractions,such as Wuqing country park, north grand canal leisure way station, Sancha River estuary. The most famous one is “The Tianjin Eye”, which is built over the Yongle Bridge at Sancha River estuary. The Tianjin Eye is the only sky wheel built over the bridge in the world.
North Canal Country Park in Wuqing District
The first phase project of North Canal Country Park in Wuqing District covers an area of 15 square kilometers. It is a waterfront landscape zone, fruit-bearing forest sight zone, and agriculture sightseeing zone along North Canal. There are also parking lots, farmhouse, ecological picking agriculture. The plants in the park are mainly colored leaf trees, such as ulmuspumilacv. In the orchard, there are apple trees, pear trees, peach trees, and vines. The park fully embodies the nature and delight in the wild. The park has placed turfgrass according to the terrain, as well as many kinds of Chinese medical plants.


North Grand Canal Leisure Way Station
North Grand Canal Leisure Way Station is located at the crossing of North Grand Canal and Longfeng River. Covering a total area of 1200 acres, the leisure way station designs five functional zones, Recreation Vehicle Camping Zone, Children Playgrounds, Farming Agrarian Experience Zone, Farm Life Experience Zone, and Palace and Way Station Zone. Recreation Vehicle Camping Zone has recreation vehicles and RV support station. The campsite provides not only the services of feeding water, drawing off water, and battery charging, but also distinctive RV Theme Hotel.

The Tianjin Eye
The Tianjin Eye, whose full name is The Yongle Bridge Tianjin Eye, located at the Haihe River bank, is a sky wheel blended with the cross river bridge. It is the only sky wheel built on the bridge. At the highest point, you can take all surrounding scenery in a glance.
