
Guobacai Dish (usually called as Gabacai Dish): it is a unique local traditional delicacy of Tianjin which is evolved from Shandong pancake. Shred the pancake and add marinade and some ingredients, then the soft, smooth and delicious Guobacai dish is ready. Besides, it’s better to eat Guobacai dish when it is hot. The pancake for making Guobacai dish should be thin and use slurry flour which is produced by washing gluten to prepare the marinade. And it’s better to eat as it is still hot. Sugar roasted chestnut: Chinese chestnut of Tianjin is also called as sweet chestnut which is planted in Ji county. It is the best snack in autumn and winter. The roasted chestnut is dark brown. On both sides of the street in Tianjin, you can see the stand selling sugar roasted chestnut. It is sold right after it’s roasted. Eat as it is hot, it tastes sweet and soft.
