Route: Kunming, Dali, Lijiang, Diqing and Nujiang

The Shangri-la Eco-tourism Zone in Northwest Yunnan is located on the south extension of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau in the Hengduan Mountain longitudinal valleys. The Zone covers Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture, Lijiang Municipality, Diqing Tibetan Prefecture and Nujiang Lisu Autonomous Prefecture.

In this zone, visitors get chances to view the most spectacular natural scenery such as snow-capped mountains, deep valleys, alpine steppes, highland rivers and lakes, as well as appreciate the numerous natural and cultural heritages. They may also experience the unique folk customs of the Bai, Naxi, Tibetan, Lisu and Dulong minorities and the Mosuo people, appreciate their splendid ethnic folk handicraft works such as carvings and embroideries, and explore the Shangri-la that is the "heaven on earth", which everyone dreams for a visit.
