Qinhuangdao becomes a tourist attraction in four seasons due to good natural conditions. In addition, more than 400 kinds of birds are attracted to inhabit there, which makes Qinhuangdao be the first inhabitation protection area for migrated transients on the way and a world-class bird watching place. Beidaihe is called “Mekka to watch bird” by some foreign bird fans. Beidaihe wetland is an important wetland in China with abundant bird resources. There are 224 kinds, 47 families, and 17 orders of birds in total, accounting for 18.9% of that in China. In addition, there are 10 kinds of national grade-I protected birds, such as white crane, white stork, and ern. Besides, there are 57 kinds of national grade-I protected birds, such as platalea leucorodia, phalacrocorax pelagicus, and whooper swan. Beidaihe East Beach Garden: The sea seems to be melted into the sky after taking a broad view. You can enjoy the scenery. Sometimes, you may even see “mirage”. The small garden with unique beautiful forms a delightful contrast with European buildings in the Garden. The environment of the Garden is elegant and quiet. Green pines and verdant cypresses are planted along the avenue. Chinese wisteria twines around the Western House. The bird twitters; the flower blooms; the bee flies; the butterfly dances. In addition, you can feel cool breeze and fragrance of flowers and plants and can hear that spring and creek flow on stones.
Beidaihe Bird Museum: It is a thematic science museum which collects samples of birds, shows origin, evolution, and development of birds through multimedia, and integrates knowledge and interest. It is divided into three exhibition areas: the world of birds, wetland and water bird, and 4D dynamic movie. 88 kinds of samples of birds are collected in the Museum as well as a dinosaur skeleton fossil and three sets of dinosaur egg fossils. Lianfeng Hill Scenic Spot: Lianfeng Hill stands tall and upright on the north shore of the Bohai Sea. It is called Lianfeng because of elegant ridges and peaks, rugged rocks, and linked mountains. It is also called Lianpeng Hill, because the pinewood looks like a sea and mountain looks like the lotus. It is called the western hill for short, because it is located in the west of Beidaihe. The scenic spot is famous for mountain climbing for beautiful scenery, exploration in the forest, history tracing, and lung lavage in oxygen bar. There are rain protection stone, blessed stone, and sword test stone. The hill is embraced by ancient temples for Buddha and Avalokitesvara. There are charming sceneries in holy hill, blessed garden, and lotus pavilion. You can see cloud and the sun in the morning and sunset in the afternoon, see the sea in the south direction, see the green hill in the north direction, watch city appearance in the east direction, and appreciate villages in the west direction in the seaside pavilion at the main peak. In addition, you can appreciate the whole scenery of Beidaihe in a high place.

Tianma Lake Scenic Spot: Resort in Tianma Lake Tourist Area is located in the north of Funing County, Qinhuangdao City with 9km. The east and west Yang River converge into Tianma Lake. As it is at the foot of Tianma Mountain, thus it is called “Tianma Lake”. Tianma Lake Scenic Spot was established in 1959, was officially opened in 2002, and was rated as “national 2A tourist attraction” in 2004. Tianma Lake Scenic Spot is located between gorges with diameter from the east to the west of more than 3650m, water area of more than 68,000 mu, and the deepest water level of more than 10m.

Zushan Mountain Scenic Spot: It is known for “fairyland in the cloud with odd stones and fantastic flowers”. Moreover, it is located in the northwest of Qinhuangdao City and in the southeast of Qinglong Manchu Autonomous County with the highest altitude of 1,428m, gross area of 118 square kilometers, and 118 of more than 96%. There are abundant tourism resources in the scenic spot with various beautiful sceneries. It is famous for strange peaks, odd stones, clear water, beautiful flowers, sea of clouds, the light of Buddha, and other unique natural landscape, abundant geomorphologic structures of Yanshan Mountain, and diversified flora and fauna. At present, Zushan Mountain Scenic Spot is national 4A tourist attraction, national-level tourist attraction, national geo-park, natural reserve for rare plants and endangered wildlife, and Hebei provincial four-star forest park.
