Located in the southwest of Chongqing, 130km from downtown, Simian Mountain is a 5A scenic spot, regarded as one of those ten most beautiful forest parks.

The park is in a World Heritage Danxia geomorphology and home to many waterfalls, including Wangxiangtai (the Balcony of Nostalgia), the highest in China. With its many rivers, lakes, local historic and cultural spots like Chaoyuan and Feilong Temples it’s popular all year. It is cool in summer and beautiful under winter snow. Activities include speed boating on Wolong Lake, mountain cycling, and fishing.
