Is located in South Mountain, near the Huangjueya area in Nan’an District, Chongqing. It is the biggest and most important Taoist temple in Chongqing and also one of the best view points in Nanshan. The name of Laojun Cave can be traced back to the Three Kingdom period of the Han dynasty. For hundreds of years ago it attracted a large number of pilgrims at traditional festivals like QingMing and lantern Festival.
From Laojun Cave, on a clear day, there’s a beautiful panoramic view of Chongqing’s tall buildings and the two rivers like meandering jade belts through the city
