Hao Chi Gou” in local language means “Foodies”. Marked with a stone tablet inscribed with “重庆好吃街”, it is located in central Jiefangbei and is full of cheap but delicious food.
Local street food is usually spicy or cooked with halogen sauce. Most of the food is takeaway, local snacks like sour and spicy noodles, Chuanchuan, Chaoshou, and cool noodles. When you are tortured by the hot pepper, try the famous old Tangyuan of the mountain city, rice puddings or cold “shrimps” to cool you down. Many other snacks from around the China are also available
