
It is the only professional museum exhibiting the Manchu history and folk culture in China, 48 kilometers away from the provincial capital Changchun. Initiating the construction in 1987 (called Folk Culture Museum), the museum was reconstructed in 2001, covering a land area of 10,000 square meters and with a building area of 3,500 square meters. The main building is a five-storey ancient-style house. The museum contains seven parts, such as Manchu origin, production, life, culture, rituals, beliefs, and ancient and modern landscapes of Yitong, and collects and displays 630 kinds of 5,000 pieces of cultural relics in forms of photos, diagrams, and models, showing the long Manchu history, splendid culture, and unique customs in a more comprehensive, systematic and informative way.

Parking: The museum connects with neighboring streets, where over 40 vehicles can park for free of charge.

Self-driving: drive along Changchun-Yingchengzi Speedway, run southward for one kilometer from the Yitong exit, and then turn right to go through Yitong Renmin Bridge forward for 200 meters to reach the museum;
Tourist Bus and Bus: It takes RMB 1 a person by bus or RMB 5 by taxi to reach the museum;
