Langshan Mountain in Shaoyang
Langshan Mountain is one of China's National Geological Park famous for its unique Danxia landform. It is located in Xinning county,about 500 kilometers away from Changsha, capital of Hunan province. In the south Langshan Mountain is connected with Guilin, in the north it echoes Zhangjiajie.
Covering an area of 108 square kilometres, Langshan Mountain has rich natural scenery and abundant tourism resources. There are more than 60 scenic spots in Langshan Mountain. Among which the most famous are Tianyi Lane, Chili Peak, Zixia Cave,Fuyi River, Innate Bridge, Bajiao Stronghold,Emperor Xun Forest Park and Xicun Ancient Dwelling.

Meishan Cave in Loudi
Meishan Cave, a subterranean limestone cave, is situated on the side of Zijiang River, which is rare in the world. Having the structure of several storeys in the cave with marvelous spectacles, it is proven to be 2,876 meters long, of which 1,896 meters long routes is open to the tourists with a unique underground river of 466 meters. In the cave, there are spectacular flowstones of surprising shapes and all kinds of stalactites, stalagmites and plane sections. Professor Lu Cunyue from the National Tourism Administration expressed his surprise by acclaiming the cave as “the most beautiful geological garden in the world”. Now, the cave is renowned as one of the world's three largest caves.
The landscape along the river is also unparalleled in China. Ziquejie Terraced Field in Loudi
As one of the 8 new famous scenic spots in Hunan Province, Ziquejie Terraced Field is located in Shuiche of Xinhua County. 80,000 mu (5,333 hectare)terraced fields, rising one upon another at an elevation of 500 meters to 1,100 meters, are endowed with natural self-irrigation and endless spring water.
According to research, the Terraced Field which originated from Qin & Han Dynasty and developed in the Song Dynasty, has a long history of over 2,000 years and is the product of the nationalities (Miao,Yao,Tong and Han) working together as the remains of ancient paddy culture with fishing and hunting culture, reflecting the greatness of the ancient Meishan farming civilization. It is approved as a state-level scenic spot in 2005. And in 2006 it was included in the world culture and natural double heritage list.

Daxiong Mountain National Forest Park in Loudi
Daxiong Mountain National Forest Park is located in the north of Xinhua, 62 kilometers away from the county seat. It covers an area of 8,100 hectares and the forest coverage rate is almost 93%.
Its main peak “Jiulongchi” rises to a height of 1,622 meters, making it the highest peak in central Hunan. It grows more than 30 kinds of national protected fauna and flora like millennium ginkgo, clouded leopard and Chinese yew. Mountains, rivers, plants and temples together depict a fascinating three-dimensional painting. Daxiong Mountain is the hometown of Chi You, an ancient tribe head, who once fought with Emperor Huang and Emperor Yan. Statistically, the Park is the area with the largest volume of negative oxygen ions in Hunan.

River rafting is one of most exciting adventure sports for adventure enthusiasts. Located at the middle range of Youxi River of Xinhua, Youxi River Rafting zone is about 12km in length with a fall of over 300 meters. There are 8 valleys, 36 puddles, 48 pools and 39 turns on the rafting course, along which are some beautiful spots like Greeting Warship, Double Arches, and Drinking Elephant. It takes about two and a half hours to enjoy the whole rafting course.

Meishan Martial Art
Meishan martial art is well-known for its fierce striking force and mysterious ways of practice for muscle and mental development. It is a daily exercise for local inhabitants in Xinhua. Practitioners of Meishan martial art are seen in many parks or open spaces in the city of Xinhua.
It is one of the martial arts schools, also known as "Xinhua School”, spreading in the Meishan area in Hunan Province. In the ancient times, this region had deep material arts culture with dragger axe, halberd, bow and arrow used here as the fighting tools before the Song Dynasty. It is recorded in the Kai Qiao Yuan that “bringing dragger axe and halberd when going out, sleeping holding armor and bow by hands, cultivating by knives and fire and taking food by picking fruits and hunting” was a norm. In the Ming Dynasty, people developed shooting and riding skills and stressed practice. There were also people with outstanding Qinggong. Leader of Xinhua insurgents Li Tinglu are known to “fight while flying”.
After the Ming Dynasty, both the southern and northern material arts were spread to Meishan area. The local masters picked up the elite of other styles and created a new school with simple and practical styles, rough and forceful and stable steps, usually supported with powerful crying. This school focuses on stance training and fingers and palms strength and spends much time on stance training. The skills mainly include hit (cutting, kicking), stance, pier picking, ladle picking, sand bag beating, stone lifting, sand stick dancing (load sand in bamboo) and barrel practicing. The people shall always tie up the waist when practicing. The barehanded styles include Menshan Palm, Sandianmei, Wudianmei, Jiudianfei, Qibuzhui, Babugan, Yidianhong, Mantanghong, Meichengquan, Bianshi, Chaotian Sanzhuxiang, Thirty-Six Spiking and others. The weapon styles mainly include single and double broadsword, rapier, cudgel, halberd, rolling harrow, whip, flower column, iron ruler, axe, mace and others and the stance training mainly includes I-shape stance, square stance and four-gate stance
