Ode to the Great Wind Scenic Area
A national 2A-level tourist attraction, the scenic area sits south of Peigong Road and north of Hanxin Road in the new urban district. Designed by Tsinghua Urban Planning and Design Institute (THUPDI), it covers a total land area of 26.7 hectares.
From south to north, the park falls into three functional zones, each corresponding to one stanza of Ode to the Great Wind composed by Emperor Gaozu Liu Bang:
Plaza rest area and creative pavilion activity zone — matching "A great wind rises, clouds soar and drift";
Mountain forest recreation zone themed on "Remembering the Source While Drinking Water" — matching "My might shakes the world; I return to my hometown";
All-embracing waterscape viewing zone — matching "Where can I find brave warriors to guard all frontiers?"
The handwritten calligraphy of Ode to the Great Wind by Chairman Mao Zedong is embedded within the scenic area, serving as its highlight.
