Songkou Ancient Town is situated in the southwest of Yongtai County, Fuzhou City, Fujian Province. Provincial Highways 203 and 103 run through the town, making it the economic, cultural and transportation hub of southwestern Yongtai.

Taking shape during the Southern Song Dynasty, Songkou has a history of over a thousand years, with hundreds of ancient folk residences still intact.
