North Miankeng Egret Ecological Park

North Miankeng Egret Ecological Park is located to the east of Houzhai Town, Nan'ao County. Centered around the water body of North Miankeng Reservoir, the park nestles between mountains and water with an elegant environment. It was originally one of the habitats for egrets in Nan'ao. Its construction works include an ecological square, an ecological trail encircling the reservoir, viewing platforms and supporting management buildings, covering a total land area of about 10 hectares.

The park features an ecological square of approximately 8,000 square metres and an ecological trail stretching nearly 2,000 metres, while the reservoir covers a water area of 75,000 square metres. Egrets gather here all year round. The spectacular sight of flocks of egrets taking flight never fails to impress local island residents and tourists. It has become a popular spot for locals to relax, stroll and work out, and also draws numerous photography enthusiasts
