 Features
This route will offer you a two-day tour in the former residence of celebrities, including Mao Dun, Qi Baishi and Ji Xiaolan in Beijing, and Jingyuan and Young Marshal House in Tianjin. The first day will be spent in Beijing. Then, people can take the 30-minute inter-city bullet-train in Beijing to Tianjin, and enjoy the next day in Tianjin.

Stop 1 Former Residence of Mao Dun
The Former Residence of Mao Dun is located on the east side of South Luogu Lane. The title “Former Residence of Mao Dun” on the wall is inscribed by Deng Yingchao.

Highlights:This largely renovated residence was the home of Mao Dun, the pen name of Shen Yanbing (1896–1981), a well-known Chinese author. He lived at the back courtyard here from 1974 until his death. His best-known works are Spring Silkworms (1932) and Midnight (1934). This courtyard covers a total area of about 878㎡.
Stop 2 Former Residence of Qi Baishi
The Former Residence of Qi Baishi is located on the west of South Luogu Lane. Here, you can admire many of Qi’s famous paintings.

Highlights:Known for the whimsical, often playful style of his watercolours, Qi Baishi (1864–1957) was an influential Chinese painter who lived in Beijing from 1917 onwards. Rooms in this renovated courtyard recreate his living quarters (he only lived here for his final two years), and there's a detailed rundown (in English) of his life and work.
Stop 3 Former Residence of Ji Xiaolan
Ji Xiaolan, a legendary character in China, is widely regarded as the greatest Chinese scholar of the Qing Dynasty. Ji Xiaolan's former residence, situated on the north side of Zhushikou Street, is now open to the public.More

Highlights:Ji Xiaolan, a legendary character in China, is widely regarded as the greatest Chinese scholar of the Qing Dynasty. He lived during the reign of Qian Long and was responsible for the biggest literary project in the history of China at that time, Siku Quanshu (Complete Works of Chinese Classics). The literary project took decades to complete millions of books. Many stories and myths about Ji continue to be handed down to this very day.

Young Marshal House in a western style used to be the residence for Zhang Xueliang. There are two buildings in Young Marshal House. The front building was established in 1921, and the other in 1926.More

Highlights:Young Marshal’s Mansion is the house of Zhang Xueliang. This western style house was built in 1921. When you enter the museum, a collection of more than 300 items are presented and the original appearance of his life in Tianjin is showed.
