Changchun International Automobile Expo (July) As the City of Automobiles, Changchun holds this grand auto show every summer. It displays new car models, classic vintage vehicles and auto culture, attracting manufacturers and visitors nationwide.

Changchun Film Festival (August) It is one of China’s major film events. Movies from home and abroad are screened, and filmmakers gather for awards and cultural exchanges. It matches Changchun’s title as the City of Films.

Changchun Ice and Snow Festival (December – February) This is the biggest winter celebration. Tourists can enjoy ice castles, long ice slides, snow sculptures and ice parties at the Ice and Snow New World.

Vasaloppet International Ski Festival (January) An international cross-country skiing race held at Jingyuetan Forest Park. Thousands of skiers from dozens of countries take part in this world-famous competition.

International Sculpture Exhibition (September) Artists from all over the world create outdoor sculptures at the World Sculpture Park, combining art with natural scenery.

Summer Rural & Food Festivals Northeast folk performances, local food feasts and outdoor camping activities are held from June to August.
