Yantai Attractions

1. Yantai Golden Beach Park — Free admission

   Located in the northern part of Yantai Economic and Technological Development Zone, it is a comprehensive park for swimming, sightseeing, entertainment, dining and relaxation.
2. Changyu Wine Culture Museum — Ticket: 50 yuan

   Yantai is the only “International Grape and Wine City” in Asia, witnessing the whole development of China’s wine-making industry.
3. Mou’s Manor in Qixia — Ticket: 80 yuan

   China’s largest feudal landlord manor, the ancestral home of several generations of the wealthy landlord Mou Molin’s family. It is hailed as “a living fossil of century-old manors”.
4. Nanshan Religious & Cultural Park in Longkou — Ticket: 120 yuan

   A national AAAAA-level scenic area consisting of three parts: the Religious & Cultural Park, Happy Canyon Theme Park and East China Sea Resort. Visitors can enjoy rural scenery and peaceful natural views here.
5. Kunyu Mountain Scenic Area — Ticket: 40 yuan

   Stretching across Yantai and Weihai, Kunyu Mountain features rolling ridges, dense forests, deep valleys, ancient trees, clear springs, waterfalls and numerous historical relics. It remains a pristine pollution-free eco-tourism zone.
6. Luoshan Gold Ecological Tourism Zone in Zhaoyuan — Ticket: 100 yuan

   Located in Zhaoyuan, China’s Capital of Gold. It includes a gold museum, underground mine experience zone and open-air exhibition area, forming an all-round gold-themed tourist destination with sightseeing, experience, catering and entertainment.
7. Crescent Bay on Changdao Island — Ticket: 100 yuan

   Lying at the junction of the Bohai Sea and the Yellow Sea, Changdao is reputed as a fairyland on the sea. Highlights include the towering Jiuzhang Cliff, peaceful Crescent Bay, ten thousand seabirds taking flight on Bird Island, and exotic colourful stones on Tuoji Island.
8. Penglai Pavilion — Ticket: 140 yuan

   A national AAAAA-level scenic area and one of China’s Four Great Ancient Towers. According to legend, the Eight Immortals crossed the sea from here. Miraculous mirages often appear above the sea nearby.
9. Yangma Island in Muping — Free entry (Racecourse ticket: 50 yuan)

   Surrounded by sea and connected to the mainland by a dam, it was once the imperial horse farm of Emperor Qin Shi Huang. A 190,000-square-metre racecourse hosts modern horse racing every weekend.
10. Self-driving Tour along Yantai Coastal Boulevard — Free admission

    The landmark coastal road of Yantai. You can feel the gentle romance of the sea while walking. Attractions along the route include Yantai Hill, Polaris Clock Museum, Changyu Wine Museum, East Battery, Huanghai Amusement City, Yantai Natural Museum and Yangma Island.
