Nestled against Jing Mountain and overlooking the Huaihe River, White Milk Spring adjoins Bian He Cave in the valley. Surrounded by layered green peaks and seas of pomegranate trees, shaded by dense foliage and carpeted with lush grass, it forms a famous natural paradise.
Originally named White Turtle Spring, it got its moniker during the Zhenyuan reign of the Tang Dynasty after a white turtle was said to emerge from the spring. Later renamed White Milk Spring for its creamy, sweet spring water.
