A national 2A-level scenic spot, Shahlek Manor sits in Shahlek Village, Zawa Township, 18 kilometers southwest of Moyu County Town. Formed in the mid-19th century, it is a typical Uyghur rural manor named after its location in Shahlek Village.
The manor covers a total area of 20,000 square meters, including a 10,000-square-meter courtyard and 3,000 square meters of building space. All single-story bungalows stand 4 meters high, comprising a total of 110 rooms. This luxurious complex falls into three sections: the first consists of a grand garden in front of the mansion and an orchard spanning dozens of mu; the second is the stately, exquisitely decorated main mansion; the third contains shabby dwellings for serfs, plus a tribunal and cells for their trial and detention.
Shahlek Manor carries great historical reference value for researching modern politics, religions and the serf system in Hotan Prefecture. It also serves as an excellent venue for historical learning, patriotism education and ethnic unity education. At present, it is listed as a key cultural relic protection unit of the autonomous region and a regional 2A-level tourist attraction.
