Qina Folk Custom Park
A national 3A-level scenic area, Qina Folk Custom Park is located in Gulebak Village, Aksaray Township, Moyu County, Hotan Prefecture, 18 kilometers from the county town. "Qina" translates to "Chinese parasol tree" in Uyghur.
The park centers on a thousand-year-old King Parasol Tree (Qina). Standing about 35 meters tall, the tree has a trunk diameter of 3.5 meters and a circumference of over 11 meters, covering around 1.5 mu of land. Majestic and luxuriant, this ancient parasol tree, dated back roughly 1,000 years by experts from the Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences, is extremely rare, hence revered as a divine and sacred tree by local residents.
A comprehensive tourist site integrating sightseeing, catering, accommodation, leisure, entertainment and ethnic folk culture, Qina Folk Custom Park was designated a national 3A-level scenic spot in 2008, together with honors of five-star agritainment and national agricultural tourism demonstration site. Covering more than 40 mu with a business area of 7 mu, the park is equipped with a swimming pool, villas and an eco-hotel, alongside zones for fish angling, dining, fitness and relaxation.
