Zhenjiang Historical Exploration Tour
On the first morning, wander around Xijin Ferry and experience the unique charm of this thousand-year-old ferry landing. Zhaoguan Stone Pagoda, Ferry Waiting Pavilion and Little Hill Tower are perfect spots to reflect on the past.
After trying local snacks at noon, wander into the old alleys on Boxian Road to experience the daily life of local residents. Here you will find still functional century-old wells, an imperial edict alley built to promote filial piety in the Qing Dynasty, residential houses dating back to the late Qing and early Republican periods, as well as the ruins of an age-old bank.
Start the second day with a classic local breakfast — pot lid noodles, then visit one of the Three Hills. A round trip to Jiaoshan Hill from Xijin Ferry takes about three hours. While admiring the ancient architecture along Daxi Road at noon or night, dine at Laoyanchun Restaurant for crab roe soup dumplings and pressed pork. In the evening, take a walk along Changjiang Road and enjoy the magnificent view of the Yangtze River under the moonlight.
On the third day, visit the remaining two hills or head to Nanshan Hill Park, whose natural scenery is even more stunning than the Three Hills. If time permits, take a bus to Yangzhou. With enchanting landscapes and profound historical heritage, Yangzhou is absolutely worth a visit.
