Peng Dehuai’s Former Residence
Located under Shifeng, Wushi Village, Wushi Town, Xiangtan County. Built in 1925, it faces southeast, brick-and-timber, whitewashed walls with blue tiles — a typical Jiangnan farmhouse. It was occupied by his brothers Jinhua and Ronghua, hence the name “Sanhua Hall”.
Adjacent to the residence stands the Peng Dehuai Memorial Hall (3,100 m²), built against the mountain, facing the bronze statue of Peng Dehuai. It features horsehead wall gateways, grey tile roofs, and imitation Song-style lattice windows — blending ancient Chu–Xiang charm with a modern feel. The layout follows traditional Chinese courtyards, with 4 exhibition halls (8 rooms total) around a central hall. The octagonal main hall houses three large red reliefs depicting:
