Huayan Stream National Forest Park is located in Changde, separated from the Peach Blossom Spring only by a mountain ridge. Covering 45 square kilometers, it is 50 kilometers away from downtown Changde and enjoys convenient transportation by land, water and air.
It was approved as a provincial tourist resort in 1996, a national forest park in 1997, a provincial nature reserve in 2000, and listed among China’s first batch of AAA-level Tourist Attractions by the National Tourism Administration in 2002.
Tourism and culture experts have praised it with numerous reputations: Hometown of Egrets in China, Leisure Resort of Southern China, West Lake of Hunan, Thousand-isle Lake of Changde, Kingdom of Watercolor Paintings, The Last Pure Land in the Mortal World and A Real Peach Blossom Spring. The natural beauty of its mountains and waters never fails to impress visitors.
