A National Nature Reserve located 44 km northeast of Xuyong County, in Shuwei Town (a "National Top 100 Green Town"). It covers 238.27 km², with elevations ranging from 332 m to 1,787.3 m.

Situated in the transition zone between the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau and the Sichuan Basin, it is 114 km from Luzhou. A burgeoning eco-tourism destination, it forms a scenic loop with Danshan Scenic Area, Huangjing Primeval Forest, and Chishui National Nature Reserve in Guizhou. It is known as "Little Emei."
