Distilled from cassia leaves, this oil features a rich aromatic flavor and deep amber color, containing 80% to 85% cinnamaldehyde. It has extensive applications. It can be used to make high-end cosmetics, pastries, candies and beverages, and also serves as a gastrointestinal stimulant and disinfectant in medicine.
It is mainly produced in towns including Liuchen, Pingshan, Dapo and Simian in Pingnan, with an annual output of 20 to 30 tons. The products are primarily exported to the United Kingdom, France, Hong Kong and other regions, with a record annual export volume of 11 tons (11 metric tons).
