Located at the border between Erlintu Town (Shenmu County, Shaanxi) and Daolaoyao Village (Xinjie Town, Ordos City, Inner Mongolia), Hongjiannao Lake is a plateau inland lake. It is the largest lake in Shaanxi and the largest desert freshwater lake in China.
