Take a minibus from Anhuo Road in downtown Ankang directly to Ying Lake. Cruise around the lake and visit Golden Snail Island and Cuiping Island. Recreational activities such as seaplane and speedboat rides are available, priced at 50 to 100 yuan per session.

Enjoy farmhouse specialties including Ying Lake fish feast, sour vegetable noodles and konjac tofu at the island resort for lunch. The tour takes around 2 to 3 hours. The combined ticket for admission and cruise costs 52 yuan per person.

In the afternoon, proceed to the nearby Tianzhu Mountain. Hike up the mountain to enjoy natural scenery and visit Baiyun Ancient Temple. Stay to watch the sunset from the peak and overlook the city before heading back. Overnight in downtown Ankang.

Take a bus from Xiangxi Road in Ankang to Xiangxi Cave, a 30-minute ride. Explore attractions like the Eight Immortals Cave, Jade Emperor Pavilion and Rolling Snow on Cloud Rock. Climb the Heavenly Stairway and Heavenly Gate for a panoramic view of the Han River. Ticket fee: 10 yuan in low season, 20 yuan in peak season.

Since the scenic area is merely 3 kilometers from the city center, return downtown for lunch. In the afternoon, take a bus from the bus station on Bashan Middle Road to Langao County, and experience exciting river rafting on the Lan River.

Note: Rafting is generally available from May to July every year. The rafting ticket is 52 yuan. Overnight in Langao County.

Take a bus from Langao County to Nangong Mountain National Forest Park to admire its natural landscapes. The admission ticket is 50 yuan per person. After the tour, head back to finish your pleasant journey.
