Divided into upper, middle and lower sections, the temple comprises 13 caves in total.
The upper section includes Spirit Light Cave, Goddess of Fertility Cave and Ten Thousand Buddhas Cave on the second floor, while the ground floor houses the Mahavira Hall, flanked by Three Stars Cave, Three Pure Ones Cave, Jade Emperor Cave and Boundless Cave.
The middle section features the renowned Nine Beamless Hall, the core of the grotto complex, which is recorded in Dictionary of Chinese Scenic Spots and Historical Sites. Measuring 25 meters high, 12.5 meters wide and 7.24 meters deep, it enshrines a 5-meter-tall seated statue of Sakyamuni Buddha.
The lower section, also built in a two-storey structure, contains Goddess Cave, God of Medicine Cave, Dragon King Cave and Reclining Buddha Cave.
