Weihai has two types of taxis: standard and premium.
For standard taxis:
The starting fare is 5 yuan for the first 2 kilometers. The rate is 1.2 yuan per kilometer for trips within 8 kilometers. Beyond 8 kilometers, the fare is 1.8 yuan per kilometer for one-way journeys and 1.2 yuan per kilometer for round trips.
For premium taxis:
The starting fare is 7 yuan for the first 2 kilometers. The rate is 1.4 yuan per kilometer for trips within 8 kilometers. Beyond 8 kilometers, the fare is 2.1 yuan per kilometer for one-way journeys and 1.4 yuan per kilometer for round trips.
A 20% surcharge applies to all rides during nighttime hours (22:00 to 05:00 the next day).
