This winter, Yanqing District will launch seven categories of cultural and tourism activities, including professional competitions, alpine skiing, ice and snow parks, ice lanterns and flower lanterns, hot springs and health preservation, delicious hot pot, and off-season picking, to offer visitors a rich and colorful ice and snow experience.
Starting from mid-November, the National Alpine Skiing Center of the Yanqing Olympic Park, the Vanke Shijinglong Ski Resort, and the Badaling Ski Resort will successively open for the snow season, providing thrilling and exciting mountain skiing experiences for different skiing enthusiasts. In December, the Beijing Expo Park Ice and Snow Carnival and the Yudu Mountain Ice and Snow World will be great places for children and adults to play with ice and snow. In mid-January next year, the 38th Longqingxia Ice Lantern Art Festival, the largest and oldest ice lantern art exhibition in North China, will open, featuring crystal-clear ice lanterns and flower lanterns, magnificent ice and snow sculptures. At the second Flower Lantern Art Festival in the Beijing Expo Park, 170 sets of flower lanterns will light up Yanqing's winter night tour.
In addition to ice and snow sports projects for all ages throughout the year, from November this year to February next year, there will also be a series of events, such as the International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation World Cup Yanqing Station, the 14th Winter Sports Games, the National Alpine Skiing Championships, and the International Ski Federation Far East Cup, offering visitors and ice and snow sports enthusiasts a series of exciting ice and snow feasts.
