The Nanshan Cultural Tourism Zone is divided into three large separately themed park areas. The first, the Nanshan Buddhism Cultural Garden showcases traditional Chinese Buddhist culture which is full of deep moral philosophy and wisdom that can transform people’s lives. This garden’s principle buildings are the Nanshan Buddhist Temple, the Guanyin (Goddess of Mercy) statue facing the South China Sea, the famous Buddha landscape park, the ten-tiered pagoda, the homecoming garden and the Buddhism Cultural Exchange Center. There is also a vegetarian shopping street.
The second area is the China Longevity & Good Fortune Garden. Here the visitor will find an outstanding display of the essence of collective Chinese ethnic culture characterized by peace, tranquility, happiness and a serene atmosphere. The South China Sea Traditional Culture Garden shows off the Nanshan region’s blue sky, jade green ocean, mountains, sun kissed beaches, forests and reefs. The distinct charm found in the garden arises from the nature and scenery of the South China Sea. The Li and Miao traditional villages remain untouched by western modernization in this garden. Principle features are smooth pasturelands, the Li & Miao traditional park, Mythological World, Madam Huang Da Po Museum, Ocean Park, Underwater World, exhibition of flower and bird paintings etc.
