Beijing Yushengtang Museum of Chinese Medicine was founded in 1999, with an exhibition area of about 6,800 square meters. The heritage display is divided into eight parts: the old medicine store landscape of Yushengtang in the Qing Dynasty, TCM paraphernalia in the past generations, ancient herbal medicine specimens, ancient herbal medicine packaging and utensils, TCM books and newspapers in the past generations, authentic medical prescriptions and cases of famous doctors in the modern era, information on old medicine shops around China in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and advertisements of TCM trademarks for 100 years.
The museum has more than 200,000 copies of medical prescriptions and old advertisements each, and nearly 30,000 pieces of TCM-related utensils in its collection.
