Wenshan Airport was built in April, 2004 and formally opened to navigation in August, 2006. It has a runway of 2,400m (2625 yards) and a terminal of 3200 sq m (0.8 acre). As a 4C-grade civil airport, it is capable of handling planes such as the Boeing 737, Airbus 320 and smaller aircrafts. The terminal area is designed to handle an annual throughput of 150,000 passengers. The terminal building can accommodate up to 1,500 people at a time.

How to travel between Wenshan Airport and Puzhehei Scenic Area
1: First, take the airport shuttle bus to Shida Hotel, then take the city bus line 3 and get off at Jiaotongjituan, and walk 211 meters (230 yards) to the Wenshan Beiqiao Coach Station, which takes 25 minutes and CNY 1. Later, take the coach to Qiubei County, which takes about 1.5 hours and CNY 43. Then, take the bus at Qiubei Coach Station to Puzhehei Scenic Spot, which costs CNY 2.
2: Taking a taxi will take about 1 hour and CNY 150, which is more convenient.

1: Bamei Village
Located at the junction of Ake Township and Bada Township in the northern part of Guangnan County, it is of karst landscape and surrounded by green mountains. The magic of this village is that people have to take a boat through deep watercourse in a karst cave before entering the village. You can feel the traditional lifestyle and enjoy peaceful and beautiful scenery.
2: Guangnan Babao Scenic Area
Guangnan Babao Scenic Spot is located in Guangnan County of southeastern Yunnan Province, 160 kilometers (99 miles) away from Wenshan City. It is mainly characterized by peaks, forests and karst waterfalls. Mumei Village there is an ancient village of Yi nationality, where people are good at singing and dancing.
3: Xihua Park
Xihua Park is located in Kaihua Town, Wenshan County, 3 kilometers (1.8 miles) from the Xihuashan Mountain. Built in 1931 and after expansion, it has added stone steps, pavilions, and "Kowloon" large stone carvings. In the garden, there are 36 kinds of rare trees, such as purple myrtle, autumn laurel and magnolia, and 36 kinds of animal images such as tigers and leopards carved on the stone walls.
