 Air
Airport Code: WUX
Located at no. 1, Airport Road, Binhu District, Wuxi Airport has been serving Suzhou, Wuxi and Changzhou since being opened in 2004. Presently it has T1 as the International Terminal to operate flights from/to Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore and Taichung, and uses T2 as Domestic Terminal where flights for many cities in China are available, including Beijing, Guangzhou, Kunming, Harbin and Nanning.

Train
As a city along the Beijing-Shanghai rail line and Beijing-Shanghai High Speed Railway, trains play a significant role for Wuxi. There are four railway stations in the city: Wuxi Railway Station, East Railway Station, New District Railway Station and Huishan Railway Station. Wuxi Railway Station, at No. 1, Chezhan Road, Chong'an District, is a major station, which contains two squares. Passengers take ordinary trains need to enter the station from south square, while those take bullet trains departs from north square. The other three stations are used for bullet trains only. The East Railway Station is on Guangxin Road, Xishan District, while Xiqu Railway Station is at the junction of Xinhua Road and Zhujiang Road, southeast of the city. The Huishan Railway Station is on Jingyi Road, Huishan District.

Long-distance Bus Station
Long-distance buses to and from around 21 provinces, cities and municipalities are available from local Long-distance Coach Station, at No. 222, West Xihu Road, in front of Wuxi Railway Station's north square. This is the only coach station where passengers can find coaches to nearby cities such as Suzhou, Kunshan, Zhangjiagang, Changshu, Jiangyin, etc on 2F and coaches to faraway places such as Beijing, Guangzhou on 3F.

For passengers' convenience, a comprehensive transportation hub, called Central Coach Station, is built based on the railway station, the Coach Station and local public transportation. It is next to the north square of the main Railway Station, which makes it easy for transit passengers. Passengers can walk across the footbridge or through underground passages from the Coach Station to the Railway Station North Square in several minutes.
 
Metro
There are currently three metro lines in service: Line 1, Line 2 and Line 3. Line 1 connects the northern and southern suburbs with the city center. It is around 19 miles (30km) from Yanqiao Station in the north to Nanfangquan Station in the south and passes the Railway Station. Line 2 runs from Anzhen Station in the east to Meiyuan Kaiyuan Temple Station in the west, passing the East Railway Station. Line 3 travels between Sumiao and Sunan Shuofang Airport, passing Wuxi Railway Station and stretching around 18 miles (28.5 kilometers).

City Bus
With around 250 public bus lines, local public buses reach various places. Most of the downtown public buses run between around 05:00 to 21:00 or even later to 23:00. Buses to some outer suburban districts usually stop in late afternoon. Checking the hours of operation is recommended when you depart. Most of the public buses charge CNY1, while the air-conditioned ones charge CNY2. The Shanghai Transportation Card can be used in local public buses.

Among the public buses, line 20 and line 80 pass many scenic spots, while line 10 and line 27 cover some commercial areas. Besides the public buses, there is a sightseeing bus "Li Lake Sightseeing Line" from Heliekou Stop to Yuantouzhu Stop and it is available on weekends and holidays.

Taxi
More than 3,900 taxis can be easily hired locally. Charges are CNY10 for the first 3 km (2 mi) and CNY1.9 for every additional kilometer (0.6mi). Nearly all taxis are charged by meter. Do ask for a receipt when getting off the car!
