Hezhou Airport will start to build in 2019 or 2020. According to the plan, it will build a runway of 2.6 kilometers (1.5 miles), a terminal building with an area of 8100 square meters and a parking apron with 5 aircraft stands. In the later period, its runway will be extended to 3 kilometers (1.8 miles) and the aircraft stands will be up to 10. After completion, Hezhou Airport will have WIFI, Nursing Room, VIP Lounge, police and first-aid center, Lost & Found, places to shop and dine and all the other basic service and facilities.
Location: Around 30 kilometers (19 miles) away from downtown area, Hezhou Airport is located in Huilong Town, Zhongshan County, Hezhou City, Guangxi Province.
How to Travel to Hezhou Presently by Air?
Option 1: Transfer at Wuzhou Xijiang Airport
Step 1: Fly to Wuzhou Xijiang Airport
Wuzhou Xijiang Airport is 180 kilometers (112 miles) from the downtown Hezhou. Passengers can take the flights from Beijing, Chongqing, Changsha, Fuzhou, Guiyang and Shanghai.
Step 2: Travel from Wuzhou Xijiang Airport to Hezhou
1. By Train
After arriving at the airport, take airport shuttle bus at first, then transfer to bus line 20 at Riverside International Hotel and get to Qizhong. Finally, transfer to bus line 31 to Wuzhou Railway Station. Then take a train to Hezhou.
The trains to Hezhou take about 1 hour and 30 minutes. As for the ticket fare, CNY 21.5 for hard seat ticket & seats for passengers with standing-room-only tickets, CNY 67.5 for hard sleeper CNY 102.5 for soft sleeper and CNY 182.5 for deluxe soft sleeper.
2. By Intercity Bus
After arrival, take airport shuttle bus to Riverside International Hotel. Then transfer to bus line 20, 43, 46, 50 or 306 to the Jinhui coach station. It takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes and CNY 12.
The bus to Hezhou departs at 07:10, 07:40, 08:00, 09:00, 09:10, 10:00, 10:35, 11:00, 11:45, 12:00, 13:00, 14:00, 14:25, 15:30, 16:20, 17:10 and 19:00. The ticket price is CNY 50 for buses departing at 07:10, 07:40, 09:10, 10:35, 11:45, 14:25 & 16:20 and CNY 60 for the rest. The duration is about 2 hours and 30 minutes.
Option 2: Transfer at Liuzhou Bailian Airport
Step 1: Fly to Liuzhou Bailian Airport
Liuzhou Lotus Airport operates flights to/from Beijing, Bijie, Chengdu, Chongqing, Fuzhou, Haikou, Hangzhou, Jieyang, Kunming, Ningbo, Nanjing, Qingdao, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Sanya, Tianjin, Wenzhou, Wuhan, Xi’an, Xiamen and Zhanjiang.
Step 2: Transfer from Liuzhou Bailian Airport to Hezhou
1. By Train
Take Airport Shuttle Bus Wuling Line which will pass 6 stations and arrive at the Liuzhou Railway Station directly. The cost is CNY 15 and the duration is about 55 minutes.
The trains leaving for Hezhou operate from 08:00 to 19:32 with 6 trains each day. The journey time is about 2 hours and 45 minutes. And the ticket fare is CNY 117 for second class seats and passengers with standing-room-only tickets, CNY 187 for first class seats and CNY 350.5 for business class seats.
2. By Intercity Bus
1. Take airport shuttle bus to Yufengshan and walk southwest for about 8 minutes to the Liuzhou Coach Station. The bus is scheduled to leave at 09:30, 11:30, 13:00, 17:00, 18:15 & 20:15 which costs CNY 100 and takes 5 hours and 30 minutes.
2. Liuzhou airport shuttle bus can arrive at the Liuzhou South Coach Station directly. Buses to Hezhou is planned to leave at 10:50, 17:20, 17:30 & 19:30. The ticket fare is CNY 100 and the duration is about 5 hours.
