Location:
Xining Caojiabao Airport, one of high-altitude airports in China, is situated about 17 miles (28 kilometers) from the downtown area.
Brief Intro:
Currently, Xining Airport has 56 domestic air routes operated by 15 airlines. Passengers can take flights to major cities such as Beijing, Fuzhou, Guangzhou, Kunming and Xi'an. There is only one terminal building here – T2. It covers 10 acres (4.2 hectares) and is equipped with 28 check-in counters, 12 security check channels and 14 boarding gates.
Boarding Tips
1. Passengers departing from the Xining Airport are advised to arrive at least 1.5 hours ahead. The boarding gates will be closed 15 minutes in advance. The check-in counters are closed 30 minutes before flight departure.
2. If passengers do not have luggage, please check in through no-luggage counters. If one gets an e-ticket, he/she may also check in via the automatic check-in machine.
