Huashi Mosque (花市清真寺)

Located at No. 80 Huashi Street, Dongcheng District, Huashi Mosque was built in the Ming Dynasty. It is said that the mosque was built by Chang Yuchun, a founder of the Ming dynasty. The mosque has been repaired many times during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Now, the Libai Hall, Tablet Pavilion, Jinggu Hall, Muyun Room, Jing room and other rooms are still here. The Xunyue Platform had been demolished.

Libai Hall is the largest building that face to east. The hall covers an area of about 500 square meters. There is a 6-sides window on the fourth floor and there used to be Quran on the wall. The relics collect in the mosque now including “Qingzhen” board inscribed by Yu Prince of the Qing dynasty and the tablet given by Yongzheng Emperor.
