The Grand Canal Forest Park was built on both sides of the Grand Canal with wide expanses of dense forests, orchards and plants like lotus. The scenic park is a National 4A Scenic Spot, with 2500-mu water area and 8200-mu green area, featuring “one river, two banks, six gardens and eighteen scenic highlights”. The Grand Canal Forest Park straddles both sides of the north Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal. It is opulent with a vast expanse of luxuriant forest, orchard, lotus pond and other landscapes, creating a picturesque environment. Approved as a national AAAA scenic spot, this park respectively embraces about 2,500mu and 8,200mu of waterscape and green landscape, which forms a patchwork of “one river, two riversides, six gardens and eighteen attractions”.
